چکیده مقاله:
Several specimens belonging to the genus Pseudocercospora were collected from different localities of Mazandaran province (N Iran) during the 2011–12. All specimens were microscopically studied and identified. As the result Pseudocercospora abeliae (on Abelia grandiflora), P.rhamnaceicola (on Paliurus spina-christi) and P.sordida (on Campsis grandiflora) are newly recorded for Iran. Furthermore Morus nigra is new host for P. mori in Iran.

Fomitiporia mediterranea, a new basidiomycete species for mycobiota of Iran
During last decade, the decline of elm trees was observed in Fars province (Iran) due to a wood decaying agent in heartwood of the trees. Unknown basidiomycete isolates were frequently isolated from such trees. The objective of the present study was to identify the basidiomycete isolates by molecular phylogenetic analysis of the internal transcribed spacers of ribosomal DNA. For this purpose, i...

Sixteen isolates of Colletotrichum were collected from leaves with anthracnose symptoms or leaf spots of twelve wild, cultivated and ornamental plant species from the Guilan, Mazandaran, and Golestan provinces in Northern Iran. Five different species, including C. aenigma, C. gigasporum, C. godetiae, C. karstii, and C. musae were identified based on the DNA sequence data (TUB2, GS, GAPDH). Four...

In a survey on the biodiversity of Penicillium species in soils of the National Park of Urmia Lake (NW Iran), eight Penicillium isolates were isolated as members of the section Citrina. Based on a combination of cultural and morphological criteria, the isolates were identified as Penicillium anatolicum, P. sanguifluum, and P. sizovae. The identity of each species was further confirmed using sequ...
